The HAVENWELTEN with its prize-winning museum the German Emigration Centre, the Klimahaus 8° Ost science centre, the German Maritime Museum, which is steeped in tradition, the marina and the Tall Ships’ harbour, and the unique waterside Bremerhaven Zoo, together make up the spectacular surroundings of THE LIBERTY.
Elegant, maritime flair, unmistakeable
This new six-storey hotel designed by architect Andreas Heller comprises 93 elegantly fitted-out rooms in the 4-star superior segment, with a size of approx. 24 m², as well as five generously-sized junior suites and suites with their own terrace. The interior design of the rooms will tell stories of longing, wanderlust and legendary ocean liners. From the more than 60 “water view” rooms, you will have a great view of the main tourist attractions, the marina and out across the mouth of the River Weser to the North Sea – with a glimpse of the historic lighthouse and of ships setting out for faraway lands. And in the evenings – the sun goes down directly in front of you across the vast expanse of water (and by the way, the sun shines much more often than you may think in Bremerhaven). All water view rooms will have their own balcony or terrace. Enjoy the North Sea air.
Mobility concept
To ensure that you have a straightforward and comfortable journey, we provide an underground car park (charges apply) which is of course equipped with two charging points for electric cars. Visitors arriving by bike are also very welcome here. To complete our mobility concept here at THE LIBERTY, we have a lockable bike shed with repair kits, electric charging points and bikes available to hire. If you come by train, take one of the five buses which come this way, or—provided you book in advance—our shuttle service will pick you up from the main station.
Restaurant
Right on the quayside, with a view of the many traditional sailing ships, we will spoil you in our restaurant “MULBERRY STREET” with an extensive breakfast buffet and—in the tradition of New York’s Little Italy district—with sophisticated and yet down-to-earth Italian cuisine. And when you feel a longing for the vast ocean and want to simply contemplate while the sun sets in front of you – then just sit back and relax, alone, with a partner or with business colleagues and friends. The best place for this is our NEW YORK Bar on the penthouse level of THE LIBERTY. Elegant drinks in this sophisticated setting or, if the weather is good, outside on the generously-sized terrace – what could make a nicer ending to your business or holiday day?
Wellness & Spa
If you are in need of relaxation, try our Day SPA, also on the penthouse level of THE LIBERTY, with a Finnish sauna, a Bio Sauna, a quiet room, a small fitness area, massage and beauty treatments and access out onto the terrace. All it takes is a wink and our barkeeper will serve you a fresh fruit smoothie in your deck chair.
Meetings and conferences for up to 30 people can be held in our conference room with its own terrace, or in an area of the MULBERRY STREET restaurant. For larger events, we have a collaboration agreement with the neighbouring German Emigration Centre which has a number of different events rooms with capacity for 60 to 130 people (banquet) or for up to 300 persons (reception area without seating) in an area of up to 220 m².
